Ingredients
  

  • 4 to 5 tart apples Granny Smith or Pink Lady
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup Wondra flour
  • 1/8 cup cinnamon
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip or 1 cup whipping cream with 1/2 cup sugar whipped until stiff
  • 1 cup caramel sauce store-bought or homemade

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375℉.
  • In a medium bowl, mix buttermilk and sugar. Peel and slice the apples, adding them to the buttermilk mixture to prevent browning.
  • Spread Wondra flour in a shallow dish. Coat each apple slice in the flour.
  • . Use a basket liner or spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Place the apples in a mostly single layer in the air fryer and cook for 15 minutes. Flip the apples every 5 minutes with tongs.
  • Remove the fried apples to a tray lined with paper towels to absorb excess grease. Sprinkle them with cinnamon and sugar while still hot.
  • For the dip, blend cream cheese and Cool Whip (or whipped cream with sugar) until smooth. Stir in the caramel sauce.
  • Transfer the dip to a bowl for serving, drizzling extra caramel sauce on top.
