  • 0.25 pound beef bacon
  • 0.5 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 0.125 package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 ounces Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 0.5 jalapeno seeded, quartered, and sliced
  • 0.25 large egg beaten

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the beef bacon until crispy. Remove from the skillet, drain on paper towels, and chop into small pieces.
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle.
  • In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, Cheddar cheese, jalapeno, and chopped bacon.
  • Spread the cheese and bacon mixture evenly over the puff pastry.
  • Fold the puff pastry in half lengthwise over the filling and press gently to seal.
  • Cut the pastry into strips about 1/2 inch wide.
  • Twist each strip a few times and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Brush the twists with the beaten egg.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  • Allow the twists to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

You can customize the filling by adding different cheeses or herbs for variety.
