Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 4 12-ounce cans baked beans
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until the meat is no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef and onions with the baked beans, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  • Bake the casserole uncovered for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until bubbly and heated through.

Notes:
For a smokier flavor, you can add a few strips of cooked and crumbled bacon to the mixture before baking.
