Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Skillet For cooking the patties and making the sauce

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Ground beef
  • 4 oz Feta cheese
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tbsp Fresh chopped basil
  • 2 tsp Minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp Beef stock
  • 1 cup Heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup Chopped green onions
  • 2 tbsp Tomato paste
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, feta cheese, chopped basil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly with your hands.
  • Shape the meat mixture into 14 equal-sized patties. Wet your hands slightly to prevent sticking.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties in batches until they reach your preferred level of doneness, about 5-7 minutes per side.
  • Once cooked, set the patties aside and drain any excess grease from the skillet.
  • Reduce the heat to medium. Deglaze the pan by adding 2 tbsp of beef stock and scraping off the browned bits.
  • Whisk in the heavy whipping cream, Italian seasoning, chopped green onions, and tomato paste. Stir well to combine.
  • Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer until the sauce thickens, about 5-10 minutes.
  • Return the patties to the skillet and coat them with the creamy tomato sauce.
  • Garnish with additional chopped green onions before serving, if desired.
