Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 10 ounces dried rotini pasta
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 0.5 cup finely chopped onion
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 cup beef broth (low or no sodium)
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley (optional, can use dried)

Instructions

  • Cook the rotini pasta according to package directions with a pinch of salt in the water. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook 1 pound of ground beef with 1/2 cup of onion and 4 minced garlic cloves. Season with garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and onion powder. Cook until the beef is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess grease if needed.
  • To the skillet, add beef broth, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Stir and cook for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and stir to combine. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Optionally, add 1 tablespoon of fresh chopped parsley and stir.
  • Top with remaining parsley before serving. Enjoy your creamy beef pasta!

Notes

For a lighter version, you can use ground turkey instead of beef and substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
