  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Hellmann’s® or Best Foods® Real Mayonnaise
  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 4 ounces sliced Gruyere cheese

Instructions
 

  • In a small saucepan, combine the fresh blueberries and granulated sugar. Cook over medium-high heat, mashing occasionally with a fork, until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes. Set aside.
  • Place the Gruyere cheese slices on 2 slices of sourdough bread.
  • Spread the blueberry mixture over the cheese on the bread slices. Top with the remaining 2 slices of bread to create a sandwich.
  • Spread Hellmann’s® or Best Foods® Real Mayonnaise evenly on the outside of the sandwiches.
  • Cook the sandwiches in a large nonstick skillet or on a grill over medium heat, flipping once, until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 5 minutes.
  • Serve hot and savor your delightful Blueberry Grilled Cheese Sandwich!

Notes

You can cut the sandwiches into halves or quarters for easier handling and serving.
