Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and spray a baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, water, garlic powder, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper.
Place the seasoned chicken in the baking dish and pour the brown sugar sauce over the top.
Bake in the oven for 25 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Once cooked, remove the dish from the oven and transfer the chicken to serving plates.
Drizzle the flavorful liquid from the baking dish over the chicken.
Notes
For a caramelized finish, you can broil the chicken for an additional 2-3 minutes after baking.
