Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 1 packet Italian Dressing Mix
  • 6 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425ºF (220ºC) and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar and Italian Dressing Mix. This mixture will provide a delicious coating for your chicken.
  • Generously coat both sides of the chicken breasts with the brown sugar mixture, ensuring each piece is well-covered.
  • Place the coated chicken in the prepared baking pan and sprinkle any remaining brown sugar mixture on top. This will help create a caramelized crust.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165ºF (74ºC).
  • Switch your oven to broil on HIGH and broil the chicken for an additional 1 to 2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning. This step enhances the caramelization of the brown sugar.

Notes

For a tangier flavor, you can add a splash of balsamic vinegar to the brown sugar mixture before coating the chicken.
