Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups 400g sushi rice
  • 2 1/2 cups 600ml water
  • 1/3 cup 80ml rice vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons 37g sugar
  • 1 teaspoon 5g salt
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • 1 cucumber julienned
  • 1/2 lb 225g imitation crab meat
  • 2 tablespoons 30ml soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon 15ml sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon 15ml mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon 15ml sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon 15ml sesame seeds
  • Nori seaweed sheets cut into strips

Instructions
 

  • Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Combine the rice and water in a rice cooker and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • In a small saucepan, heat the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt over low heat until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat.
  • Transfer the cooked rice to a large bowl and gently fold in the vinegar mixture. Let the rice cool to room temperature.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, mayonnaise, and sriracha. Add the imitation crab meat and toss to coat.
  • To assemble the bowls, divide the sushi rice among serving bowls. Top with avocado slices, julienned cucumber, and the marinated crab meat.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds over the bowls and garnish with nori seaweed strips.
  • Serve the California Roll Bowls immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to customize your California Roll Bowls with your favorite sushi ingredients like raw fish, pickled ginger, or wasabi. You can also add a drizzle of eel sauce or spicy mayo for extra flavor.
