  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup corn syrup
  • 0.25 cup butter, melted
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup raisins
  • 12 count unbaked tart shells

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  • Evenly divide the raisins among the tart shells.
  • Pour the sugar mixture over the raisins in each tart shell, filling them about 2/3 full.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown.
  • Once baked, allow the tarts to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

You can customize your butter tarts by adding chopped nuts or chocolate chips. Store any leftover tarts in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
