Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 3 medium apples
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 4 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 16 refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 tablespoon granulated white sugar

Instructions

  • Peel and chop the apples into small 1/2-inch pieces.
  • In a skillet, mix the chopped apples with brown sugar, ground ginger, and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Cook until the apples soften, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add flour and caramel sauce, stir, and cook for another minute. Let it cool before using as filling.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Lay out the crescent triangles flat on a cutting board.
  • Place 1 1/2 tablespoons of the apple filling in the center of each crescent triangle.
  • Fold one corner of the dough over the filling and press to seal. Repeat with the other corner.
  • Tuck in the remaining corners.
  • Roll the dough towards the smaller end of the crescent and press to seal. Ensure all corners are sealed to prevent the filling from leaking out during baking.
  • Arrange the rolls on the baking sheet.
  • Mix white sugar and the remaining 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Sprinkle over the rolls for added sweetness.
  • Bake for 15-17 minutes until golden brown. Keep an eye on them as ovens may vary.
  • Cool slightly before serving to allow the filling to set.
