Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 2 thirds cup diced onions
  • 2 tsp grill seasoning
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 3 fourths cup milk (2% or whole)
  • 8 oz sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 bag frozen seasoned curly fries (20 to 28 oz)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and onions over medium heat until cooked and soft, about 10 minutes. Drain excess fat and season with grill seasoning.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, whisk in flour, and cook for 1 minute. Add milk and cook until thickened, then stir in cheddar cheese until melted.
  • Pour cheese sauce over meat mixture and mix well. Transfer to a baking dish and top with frozen fries.
  • Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until fries are crispy and mixture is bubbling.
  • Mix ketchup, mayo, and hot sauce for fry sauce while casserole bakes.
  • Drizzle fry sauce over the cooked casserole and add optional toppings. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to customize the toppings with your favorite ingredients like pickles, diced tomatoes, bacon, or green onions.
