Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 8 ounces Spaghetti
  • 1 medium White Onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, finely diced
  • 1 pound Minced Beef
  • 1 tablespoon Tomato Paste
  • 2 cups Tomato Puree
  • 1 cup Beef Stock
  • 0.5 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 0.5 bunch Fresh Basil, finely diced
  • 0.5 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon Sugar
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan, freshly grated
  • 6 units Crusty White Rolls
  • 7 tablespoons Butter, melted
  • 1 ounce Parmesan
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Parsley, very finely diced
  • 3 cloves Garlic, finely grated/minced
  • 2 cups Mozzarella, shredded

Instructions

  • In a large pan over medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil. Sauté the onion until golden, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 20 seconds, being careful not to burn it.
  • Add minced beef to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. This should take about 5-7 minutes.
  • Stir in tomato paste and cook for 1 minute. Pour in the beef stock, Worcestershire sauce, tomato puree, basil, oregano, and sugar. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally, to let the flavors meld together.
  • While the sauce is simmering, cook spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Slice the tops off the rolls and hollow out the center, creating bowls. Brush the inside and outside with a mixture of melted butter, garlic, parsley, and Parmesan for added flavor.
  • Once the spaghetti is cooked, transfer it directly into the sauce and toss to combine thoroughly. Fill each hollowed roll with the spaghetti and sauce mixture.
  • Top each filled roll with shredded mozzarella cheese. Bake for 8-10 minutes until the bread is crisp and the cheese is melted. For extra crispiness, broil for the last 1-2 minutes.
  • Garnish with extra parsley and serve hot. Enjoy your delicious cheesy spaghetti stuffed bread bowls!

Notes

Recipe notes: You can customize the recipe by adding vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms to the sauce. Ensure the spaghetti is al dente as it will continue to cook in the oven.
