  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 0.5 cup 2% milk
  • 12 ounces Cool Whip whipped topping, thawed
  • 2 cans cherry pie filling (21 ounces each)

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, use a hand mixer to whip the cream cheese and powdered sugar until creamy.
  • Mix in 1/4 cup of milk until smooth, then add the remaining 1/4 cup of milk and mix again until fully combined.
  • Gently fold in the Cool Whip until the mixture is fluffy and well combined.
  • Break the angel food cake into small pieces and add them to the whipped mixture. Fold gently to combine, being careful not to deflate the mixture.
  • Spoon the cake mixture into a 9x13-inch glass baking pan and spread it evenly.
  • Spread the cherry pie filling on top of the cake mixture evenly.
  • Cover the pan and refrigerate until serving, allowing the flavors to meld.

Notes

For a twist, try using blueberry or strawberry pie filling instead of cherry.
