  • 1 large boneless skinless chicken breast
  • 0.5 lb flank steak
  • 1 tbsp baking soda
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 0.25 cup carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 1.5 tbsp oil
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 12 large raw shrimp
  • 0.5 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 0.5 cup water chestnut slices
  • 1 cup baby corn, chopped into thirds
  • 3 whole green onions, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced

Instructions
 

  • Slice the beef and chicken across the grain into ΒΌ-inch thick strips.
  • Sprinkle half a tablespoon of baking soda over the beef and the other half over the chicken.
  • Rinse both meats thoroughly under cold water and pat them dry.
  • In a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, add the broccoli, carrots, and boiling water.
  • In a bowl, mix the chicken broth with cornstarch, then add oyster sauce, soy sauce, white pepper, and brown sugar.
  • Return the skillet to high heat, add oil, then chicken in a single layer.
  • Add the beef and cook for another minute.
  • Add the shrimp and cook for 1 minute, season with salt.
  • Add all the steamed vegetables, mushrooms, water chestnuts, baby corn, and green onions.
  • Stir in the sliced garlic, pour in the sauce, bring to a simmer.
  • Enjoy your delicious stir-fry immediately!

Notes

Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas for extra color and nutrition. For a spicier kick, add some red pepper flakes to the sauce.
