Ingredients
  

For Chocolate Cookie Crust:

  • 2 cups Oreo cookie crumbs
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter melted

For Chocolate Cream Filling:

  • 1 cup cold heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 5 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 6 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

For Whipped Cream Topping:

  • 1 cup cold heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Shaved chocolate for topping optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Combine Oreo cookie crumbs with melted butter. Press into the bottom of the pan and bake for 10 minutes. Let cool.
  • Melt the chocolate and butter in a double boiler, then set aside to cool for 10 minutes.
  • Whip the cold heavy cream with powdered sugar until firm peaks form, then refrigerate.
  • In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
  • Add the cooled chocolate mixture to the cream cheese mixture and mix until well combined.
  • Gently fold in the whipped cream until no white streaks remain.
  • Spread the filling over the cookie crust and chill for 3 hours or overnight.
  • Before serving, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth and firm.
  • Spread the whipped cream over the filling and top with chocolate shavings.
  • Chill for 30 minutes before slicing into squares.

Notes

For a twist, try adding a sprinkle of sea salt on top for a sweet and salty contrast.
