Instructions
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with foil.
Prick the sweet potatoes all over with a fork. If you'd like, rub a small amount of olive oil on the outsides.
Bake the sweet potatoes for 45 to 50 minutes until they are tender.
Let the sweet potatoes cool slightly, then split the tops open and add a pat of butter. Season with salt and pepper.
Notes
For a sweeter twist, sprinkle some cinnamon and a drizzle of honey on top of the butter.
