Equipment

  • Medium skillet For cooking the hamburger mixture.
  • Baking Dish 7x11-inch baking dish for baking sliders.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 0.5 cup yellow onion, diced
  • 0.5 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 0.5 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 tablespoon hamburger seasoning
  • 1 medium jalapeño pepper, seeded and sliced
  • 1 cup thick-cut bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup French's crispy fried onions
  • 1 package King's Hawaiian Rolls
  • 1 recipe cowboy butter (without lemon juice)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray a 7x11-inch baking dish with cooking spray and set it aside.
  • In a medium skillet over medium heat, add the vegetable oil. Cook the diced onion and minced garlic for 1-2 minutes until fragrant and softened.
  • Add the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, and hamburger seasoning to the skillet. Cook for 8-10 minutes, breaking the meat apart with a wooden spoon until it is no longer pink. Drain any excess grease to keep your sliders from being too greasy.
  • Split the King's Hawaiian Rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in the prepared baking dish.
  • Drizzle about 2 tablespoons of cowboy butter over the bottom halves of the rolls in the pan to add flavor and moisture.
  • Top the rolls with the hamburger mixture, spreading it evenly.
  • Layer the sliced jalapeños, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheese over the hamburger mixture. Then, sprinkle the crispy fried onions evenly over the cheese for an extra crunch.
  • Place the top halves of the rolls on top of the fried onions. Brush the tops of the rolls with melted cowboy butter for a golden finish.
  • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt and become bubbly.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 3-5 minutes until the tops of the sliders turn a beautiful golden brown.
  • Once baked, remove from the oven, slice, and serve the sliders hot with the remaining cowboy butter brushed over or for dipping. Enjoy!

Notes

Cowboy butter adds a flavorful kick to these sliders. Enjoy the gooey, cheesy goodness with a hint of spice!
