  • 1 lb chicken breast
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 4 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 3/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 8 oz penne pasta uncooked

Instructions
 

  • In a slow cooker, combine the chicken breast, heavy whipping cream, cubed butter, minced garlic, salt, pepper, chicken broth, and heavy whipping cream.
  • Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours or low for 4-5 hours until the chicken breast is fully cooked.
  • Once cooked, remove the chicken, shred it using two forks, and return it to the slow cooker. Add the uncooked penne pasta and Parmesan cheese.
  • Cook on high for about 35-40 minutes or until the pasta is fully cooked through. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  • Before serving, top with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and chopped greens for added color and flavor.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding some cooked bacon bits or sun-dried tomatoes. Feel free to sprinkle some red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
