Instructions
Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker and season them with salt and pepper if desired. This will enhance the flavor of the chicken.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, chicken gravy mix, and water (if using). Make sure there are no lumps for a smooth gravy.
Pour the mixture evenly over the chicken in the slow cooker.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 4-6 hours. This slow cooking helps the chicken become incredibly tender.
Before serving, shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces using two forks. This makes it easier to serve and eat.
