Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts about 3-4 chicken breasts
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth low or no sodium
  • 1 ounce Ranch seasoning mix
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened and cubed
  • 1.5 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese divided
  • 0.5 pound bacon cooked and crumbled, divided
  • 0.5 cup sliced green onions divided
  • 1 package hamburger or slider buns optional

Instructions
 

  • Spray the inside of a 6-quart oval slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Place the chicken breasts in an even layer at the bottom. Pour chicken broth over the chicken and sprinkle Ranch seasoning mix on top.
  • Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours or low for 4-5 hours without removing the lid.
  • Once cooked, shred the chicken using two forks. Keep the broth and add the cubed cream cheese. Stir until creamy and well combined.
  • Add half of the shredded cheddar cheese, half of the crumbled bacon, and half of the sliced green onions. Mix well. Top with the remaining cheese and bacon.
  • Cover the slow cooker for 5-10 minutes to melt the cheese. Remove the lid and sprinkle the rest of the green onions.

Notes

Recipe notes: For sliders, spoon the crack chicken onto halved slider buns. No alcoholic drinks allowed, please substitute with a non-alcoholic option.
