Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a medium bowl, mix the butter, sage, and stuffing mix. Spread this mixture evenly in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Tip: Make sure all the bread pieces are coated with the buttery sage mix for the best flavor.
Place the cooked chicken over the stuffing mixture in the baking dish.
In the same bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, cream of celery soup, and water. Mix well and pour this sauce over the chicken. Tip: Stir the mixture to ensure it evenly coats the chicken and stuffing.
Bake in the preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 45 minutes or until bubbly. Tip: You can check if it’s done by inserting a thermometer into the chicken; it should read 165°F (74°C).
Notes
You can add some vegetables like peas or carrots to the casserole for extra flavor and nutrition.
