In a 5-6 quart crockpot, empty the 2 cans of apple pie filling. Make sure to spread it evenly across the bottom.
In a bowl, combine the cake mix, cinnamon, and chopped pecans (if using) with the melted butter. Mix well until crumbly.
Crumble the cake mixture over the apple pie filling in the crockpot.
Cover the crockpot and cook on high for 2 hours.
Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream.
