  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 0.5 cup diced onion
  • 1 clove garlic, diced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup uncooked long grain rice
  • 2.5 cups beef stock
  • 1 package onion soup mix
  • 0.5 cup shredded cheese

Instructions
 

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the diced onion, sliced mushrooms, and garlic to the skillet. Sauté for about 2 minutes until the onion is translucent.
  • Add the ground turkey to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease.
  • Stir in the beef stock, uncooked rice, and onion soup mix. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Once boiling, reduce the heat to a simmer. Cover the skillet with a lid and let it cook for 15 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  • After 15 minutes, remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle the shredded cheese on top. Cover again for a few minutes to let the cheese melt.
  • Serve hot and enjoy your delicious one-pan meal!

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding your favorite herbs or spices. You can substitute the mushrooms with other vegetables like bell peppers or spinach for a different twist.
