  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 head small cabbage about 2 lbs, sliced into thin strips
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 lb beef sausage sliced into thin rounds
  • 1 tablespoon parsley chopped

Instructions
 

  • Slice the cabbage in half and remove the core, then cut into thin strips.
  • Heat a large cast iron or heavy pan over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  • Add sliced onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until soft.
  • Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
  • Add sliced cabbage, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Pour in Worcestershire sauce and add sliced beef sausage.
  • Continue cooking until cabbage is tender and sausage is browned.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For a bit of heat, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes.
