  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1.25 pounds fresh green beans, washed and trimmed
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour, divided
  • 0.5 teaspoon cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups beer No alcoholic drinks allowed, please substitute with a non-alcoholic option.
  • cup vegetable oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • In a medium bowl, mix mayonnaise, Sriracha, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt to make the sriracha dipping sauce. Cover and refrigerate.
  • Coat green beans with 1/2 cup of flour in a bowl.
  • In another bowl, combine the remaining 2 cups of flour with cumin, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Slowly add beer, stirring until a thick batter forms.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large pot to 375°F (190°C). Dip green beans in the beer batter and carefully fry in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  • Remove and drain on paper towels.
  • Serve the fried green beans warm with the creamy sriracha dip.

Notes

For extra crunch, you can double coat the green beans by dipping them in the flour again before battering.
