Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 0.5 head cauliflower sliced into florets
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 0.25 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce (like Sriracha)
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • fresh chopped cilantro (or parsley)
  • 0.25 cup water
  • red chili pepper flakes
  • lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-low heat and add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Sauté the cauliflower florets until they are slightly golden brown, being careful not to burn them. This should take about 5-7 minutes. Once done, deglaze the skillet with lemon juice, add fresh cilantro, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss to coat well and then remove the cauliflower to a shallow plate.
  • In the same skillet (rinse if necessary), melt the butter with the remaining tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add the ground turkey, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Cook until the meat is no longer pink, about 5-6 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and onion powder, cooking for an additional minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the soy sauce, water, and hot sauce. Continue cooking for a couple of minutes, stirring regularly to combine all the flavors.
  • Push the ground turkey to one side of the skillet and return the cauliflower to the other side. Quickly reheat the cauliflower and coat it in the sauce. Drizzle with sesame oil, sprinkle with fresh chopped cilantro and red chili pepper flakes, and garnish with lemon slices.
  • Serve the Garlic Butter Turkey with Cauliflower immediately and enjoy this delightful dish!

Notes

For a milder dish, reduce the amount of hot sauce. You can substitute the ground turkey with ground chicken if desired.
