  • 8 thighs boneless skinless chicken
  • 2 tablespoons minced green onions
  • 2 tablespoons white miso paste
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons mirin
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 garnish Additional green onions and cilantro

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, combine the white miso paste, rice vinegar, mirin, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and minced green onions. Mix well to create a marinade.
  • Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and ensure they are well coated with the miso marinade. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes for the best flavor.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Place the marinated chicken thighs in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Pour any remaining marinade over the chicken.
  • Air fry the chicken for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time. For a nice crust, broil the chicken for an additional 2 minutes.
  • Check that the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) for safe consumption.
  • Baste the chicken with any leftover pan juices and garnish with additional green onions and cilantro before serving.

Notes

For oven instructions, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper. Bake the chicken for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway, and broil for 2 minutes to achieve a golden crust. If grilling, cook the chicken thighs for about 10 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). No alcoholic drinks allowed, please substitute with a non-alcoholic option.
