Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh parsley washed and patted dry
  • 1 medium yellow onion quartered
  • 1.3 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon seven spice blend
  • 0.125 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a food processor, pulse the quartered onion and fresh parsley until finely chopped.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, finely chopped parsley and onion mixture, salt, black pepper, seven spice blend, and cayenne pepper. Mix thoroughly using your hands.
  • Take some of the mixture and mold it around a skewer, forming kebabs about 1 to 1.5 inches thick.
  • Preheat your charcoal or gas grill to medium-high. If using a gas grill, brush it with oil. Place the kafta skewers on the grill.
  • Grill the kebabs for about 4 minutes on each side, or until the meat is cooked through.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

You can serve the kafta kebabs with pita bread, hummus, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
