Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 0.5 medium lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 17 ounces turkey chunks
  • 1 large red bell pepper
  • 1 large yellow bell pepper
  • 1 medium onion

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, black pepper, cinnamon, paprika, salt, and dried oregano. Stir well to create a marinade.
  • Add the turkey chunks to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2-3 hours, or overnight for best flavor.
  • While the turkey marinates, cut the red and yellow bell peppers and onion into chunks that are similar in size to the turkey for even cooking.
  • Once marinated, thread the turkey chunks, bell pepper pieces, and onion chunks onto skewers, alternating between the meat and vegetables.
  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the skewers for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the turkey is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). Make sure to check the turkey's doneness with a meat thermometer for the best results!

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the turkey overnight. Feel free to mix in other vegetables like zucchini or mushrooms for variety. If you don’t have skewers, you can grill the turkey and vegetables in a grill basket.
