  • 2 pounds ground beef or turkey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 tablespoons chopped or grated onions
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black cracked pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 0.25 cup almond flour or gluten-free breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.5 cup chopped pepperoni
  • 0.25 cup pizza sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 0.5 cup parmesan cheese or dairy-free cheese (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef or turkey, garlic powder, onions, olive oil, salt, pepper, onion powder, oregano, Italian seasoning, almond flour or breadcrumbs, egg, pepperoni, and parmesan cheese.
  • Shape the mixture into 1½-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake the meatballs for 20-22 minutes until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • For a crispy exterior, broil the meatballs for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  • Serve with fresh parsley and pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the meatball mixture. You can also customize the cheese or omit it for a dairy-free option.
