Main Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup diced onion
  • 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 medium red bell pepper sliced
  • 0.75 cup honey
  • 0.5 cup soy sauce
  • 0.25 cup ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons cold water
  • 1 pound spaghetti noodles boiled and drained
  • to taste scallions or sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Slow Cooker: Start by placing the cubed chicken, diced onion, and sliced red bell pepper into your slow cooker.
  • Make the Sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, ketchup, sesame oil, and minced garlic until everything is well combined.
  • Combine: Pour the delicious sauce over the chicken and vegetables in the slow cooker. Give it a good stir to ensure everything is coated.
  • Cook: Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 4 hours.
  • Thicken the Sauce: About 15 minutes before serving, mix the cornstarch with cold water in a small bowl. Whisk until smooth, then stir this mixture into the slow cooker to thicken the sauce.
  • Add Spaghetti: Toss in the boiled and drained spaghetti, mixing well to combine everything.
  • Garnish and Serve: Finish by garnishing with scallions or sesame seeds. Serve hot and enjoy your meal!

Notes

For a little extra flavor, consider adding some steamed broccoli or snap peas to the slow cooker. If you prefer a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
