Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 breasts thin, boneless, skinless chicken
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 0.5 cup chopped pecans
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.33 cup chicken broth
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  • Place each chicken breast between two pieces of plastic wrap or in a zip-top bag and gently pound to about 1/2-inch thick. Season both sides with seasoned salt, then set aside.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large, heavy-bottomed skillet over medium heat.
  • On a plate, add the flour and lightly dredge each chicken breast in it. Place the chicken in the hot oil.
  • Sear the chicken for 4 to 5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and keep warm.
  • In the same skillet, add the butter and let it melt. Add the chopped pecans and cook for about 3 minutes.
  • Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  • Pour in the chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet. Lower heat and stir in honey, salt, and pepper.
  • Cook for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Serve the chicken with the sauce spooned over the top.

Notes

For a nut-free version, you can skip the pecans or replace them with breadcrumbs for a crunchy texture.
