Instructions
In a large zip-top bag or bowl, combine the chicken tenders with several tablespoons of blackened seasoning and a few tablespoons of oil. Mix well to ensure the chicken is evenly coated. For best results, marinate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to soak in.
Heat an oiled skillet over medium-high heat or preheat your grill. Cook the chicken for about 3 minutes on each side, flipping just once, until fully cooked. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F for safety.
In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, chopped parsley, and minced garlic. Heat in the microwave for 30 seconds or until melted, then stir to combine. This mixture will enhance the flavor of the buns.
If necessary, slice the slider buns horizontally. Place the bottom halves cut side up on a baking sheet and toast under the broiler for a few minutes until golden brown. Keep a close eye to prevent burning!
Flip the top buns so the domed sides are facing up and place them next to the bottom buns on the pan. Spread mayonnaise on all bottom buns, then add the cooked chicken, ensuring each slider has at least one tender. Add a dollop of honey mustard and place cheese slices over the chicken. Spread the butter mixture on the top buns.
Return the baking sheet to the broiler for 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and the top buns are slightly toasted. This step is crucial for achieving that gooey texture.
Top the sliders with crispy bacon, sliced tomatoes, red onion, lettuce, and another drizzle of honey mustard. Place the top buns over the sandwiches, slice to separate, and serve. Enjoy your sliders hot!
Notes
For a spicier kick, add more cayenne pepper to the seasoning. Feel free to customize the toppings with your favorite ingredients!
