  • 10 count Italian Sausages hot or mild
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 24 oz Low Carb Marinara Sauce no added sugar
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 0.25 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp basil seasoning
  • 0.125 tsp black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Slice the Italian sausages into bite-sized pieces and brown in a skillet over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add ½ cup of water to the skillet, cover, and let it simmer on low heat for 8 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9 x 13-inch casserole dish.
  • Transfer the cooked sausages into the greased casserole dish and pour marinara sauce over them.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top of the sauce and sausages.
  • Add Italian seasoning, garlic powder, basil seasoning, and black pepper over the cheese layer.
  • Bake in the oven for 18 minutes, moving to the top rack for the last 2 minutes for a bubbly topping.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or spinach for extra flavor and nutrition. This dish pairs well with a side salad or crusty bread.
