  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup coconut flakes
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3.5 cups powdered sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and set it aside.
  • In a medium bowl, mix the yellow cake mix, softened butter, chopped pecans, coconut flakes, and 3 eggs until well combined. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly to cover the bottom.
  • In another bowl, combine the powdered sugar, softened cream cheese, 1 egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy. Pour this cream cheese layer over the crust.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 24-26 minutes or until the top starts to brown slightly.

Notes

For added flavor, you can sprinkle extra coconut flakes or pecans on top before baking.
