Equipment

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1.5 cups heavy cream
  • 8 ounces penne pasta, uncooked
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 0.25 teaspoon pepper or to taste
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  • Stir in the chicken broth, heavy cream, and uncooked penne pasta. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer. Cook for 18 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is cooked through.
  • Stir in the freshly grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding cooked chicken, shrimp, or vegetables to the dish. Sprinkle extra Parmesan cheese on top before serving for a cheesy finish.
