  • 1/2 lb. Italian sausage hot, mild, or sweet
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 Tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning blend
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 lb. pasta your choice
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 4 oz. fresh spinach

  • Cook the Sausage: In a deep skillet or pot, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat. Break it into pieces as it cooks until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add Garlic: Once the sausage is browned, add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.
  • Make the Sauce: Stir in the tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and water. Mix well, scraping any browned bits from the bottom. Bring to a simmer, then cover with a tilted lid and reduce heat to medium-low. Let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Cook the Pasta: In a separate pot, bring water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until tender, about 7-10 minutes. Drain the pasta and set aside.
  • Combine Cream and Spinach: Once the sauce has simmered, stir in the heavy cream. Add the fresh spinach and stir until wilted, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Mix Pasta and Sauce**: Add the drained pasta to the sauce and stir to combine, ensuring the pasta is well coated.
