  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup onion, sliced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 pound sandwich steaks, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups penne pasta
  • 1 1/4 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large sauté pan over medium-high heat.
  • Add sliced bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms to the pan. Sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
  • Add thinly sliced sandwich steaks to the pan and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the beef starts to brown.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together cornstarch, beef broth, heavy cream, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined. Pour the mixture into the pan and mix thoroughly.
  • Add penne pasta to the pan and bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Cover the pan, reduce heat to medium, and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove the cover and stir in 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top, cover, and cook for an additional 5 minutes to melt the cheese.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
