Equipment

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 28 ounces beef lit’l smokies
  • 1 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 20 ounces canned pineapple chunks, drained
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the sweet chili sauce, barbecue sauce, and soy sauce. Stir well to blend the flavors.
  • Drain any excess liquid from the beef lit’l smokies. In a saucepan or slow cooker, add the smokies and pineapple chunks.
  • Pour the sauce mixture over the smokies and pineapple, stirring to ensure everything is well coated.
  • For stovetop cooking: Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat. Allow it to gently simmer uncovered for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • For slow cooker cooking: Set the slow cooker to high and cook for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the smokies are heated through and the sauce has thickened slightly. Once done, switch the slow cooker to the keep warm setting and serve.

Notes

For a little extra kick, consider adding a dash of hot sauce to the sauce mixture. Serve these smokies as a fun appetizer or a tasty addition to a game day spread! No alcoholic drinks allowed, please substitute with a non-alcoholic option.
