  • 20 oz can of crushed pineapple with juice
  • 21 oz can of cherry pie filling
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 0.5 cup chopped pecans

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350ºF (175ºC).
  • In a 9x13 baking dish, pour in the 20 oz. can of crushed pineapple with its juice.
  • Spread the 21 oz. can of cherry pie filling evenly over the pineapple.
  • Evenly sprinkle the yellow cake mix over the cherry pie filling.
  • Cut the unsalted butter into small squares and distribute them evenly over the cake mix.
  • Sprinkle the chopped pecans on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35-45 minutes, or until the topping is lightly browned.
  • Allow the cake to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider serving with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
