  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 0.5 medium yellow onion, chopped
  • 0.5 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 pound ground turkey, 97% lean
  • 1 tablespoon homemade taco seasoning
  • 0.67 cup diced pineapple
  • 0.5 cup favorite jarred salsa
  • 1 serving favorite taco shells

Instructions
 

  • Heat the avocado oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking for about 3-4 minutes until softened.
  • Add the ground turkey and taco seasoning to the skillet. Cook until the turkey is almost browned, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the diced pineapple and salsa. Simmer until the meat is fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Assemble your tacos using the turkey mixture and your favorite toppings.

Notes

For a spicier kick, consider adding jalapeƱos or a dash of hot sauce to your tacos. You can also use corn tortillas for a gluten-free option.
