Main Ingredients

  • 1 large Granny Smith apple, peeled and cored
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.75 cup Mountain Dew No alcoholic drinks allowed, please substitute with a non-alcoholic option.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Cut the apple into 8 wedges.
  • Separate the crescent roll dough into triangles. Wrap each apple wedge in a crescent roll triangle, starting from the smallest end. Pinch to seal and place in the baking dish.
  • In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Stir in the sugar and cinnamon until well combined. Pour this mixture over the apple dumplings.
  • Pour the Mountain Dew over the dumplings.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35-45 minutes or until the dumplings are golden brown.

Notes

For a twist, try adding a sprinkle of chopped nuts or a scoop of vanilla ice cream when serving.
