2cupsgrated cheddar cheese
1cupgrated gruyere cheese
unitspretzelsFor serving.
Instructions
In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Be sure to stir constantly to prevent burning.
Add the flour and stir constantly until a wet, sand-like texture forms, about 3-5 minutes. This step is crucial for a smooth dip!
Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, mustard powder, and Worcestershire sauce; cook for an additional 30 seconds to release the flavors.
Add the milk and non-alcoholic beer, whisking until smooth. Bring to a simmer and cook until thickened, about 30-60 seconds. Keep an eye on it to avoid overcooking.
Gradually add a third of the cheddar and gruyere cheeses, whisking until melted and fully combined, about 1 minute. Repeat with the remaining cheese until all is melted and creamy.
Serve the beer cheese dip in a bowl with pretzels on the side for dipping. Enjoy with friends and family!
Notes
For a twist, try adding a dash of hot sauce for a spicy kick to your beer cheese dip.
