Prosciutto Wrapped Mozzarella Bites

Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices Prosciutto halved lengthwise
  • 8 mini Cherry-Sized Fresh Mozzarella Balls pat-dried
  • 8 Fresh Basil leaves
  • 2 small Grape Tomatoes cut into quarters, deseeded, patted dry
  • 1 tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 pinch Ground Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Toasted Walnuts finely crushed

Instructions
 

  • Prepare all ingredients: cut the prosciutto slices in half lengthwise, quarter the grape tomatoes, deseed them, and pat them dry. Pat dry the mozzarella balls.
  • In a small bowl, mix balsamic vinegar, olive oil, garlic powder, lemon juice, and ground pepper. Set aside.
  • Place a piece of prosciutto in front of you, add a basil leaf, a tomato quarter, and a mini mozzarella ball.
  • Roll up the prosciutto and secure with a toothpick.
  • Just before serving, toast the crushed walnuts in a skillet over medium-high heat until fragrant. Finely chop.
  • Serve the bites drizzled with the balsamic mixture and a sprinkle of toasted walnuts.

Notes:
For a vegetarian option, substitute prosciutto with thinly sliced vegetables or leave it out entirely.
