Large Skillet For frying sausage and cooking cabbage.
Small saucepan For making Alfredo sauce.
Ingredients
Main Ingredients
2tablespoonsbutter
1poundbeef sausage links
1mediumgreen cabbageApproximately 6 cups, cut into strips.
12salt
14ground black pepper
1cupAlfredo sauce
1tablespoonfresh parsleyMinced for garnish (optional).
Instructions
In a large skillet, fry the beef sausage links in 1/2 tablespoon of butter over medium heat until crispy and golden brown on both sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
In the same skillet, heat the remaining 1 1/2 tablespoons of butter. Add the cabbage and cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper halfway through to enhance the flavor.
While the cabbage is cooking, prepare the Alfredo sauce. In a separate small saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant.
Slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring continuously. Gradually add the 1 1/2 cups of finely grated Parmesan cheese, mixing until a thick, creamy sauce forms. Season with 1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg, then remove from heat.
Slice the cooked sausage into small 1/4-inch rounds. Add them back to the skillet with the cooked cabbage. Pour the Alfredo sauce over the cabbage and sausage, tossing everything together until evenly coated.
Plate the dish and serve warm directly from the skillet. Garnish with minced parsley if desired for a touch of freshness.
