Equipment

  • Large Skillet For frying sausage and cooking cabbage.
  • Small saucepan For making Alfredo sauce.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 pound beef sausage links
  • 1 medium green cabbage Approximately 6 cups, cut into strips.
  • 1 2 salt
  • 1 4 ground black pepper
  • 1 cup Alfredo sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley Minced for garnish (optional).

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, fry the beef sausage links in 1/2 tablespoon of butter over medium heat until crispy and golden brown on both sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, heat the remaining 1 1/2 tablespoons of butter. Add the cabbage and cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper halfway through to enhance the flavor.
  • While the cabbage is cooking, prepare the Alfredo sauce. In a separate small saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring continuously. Gradually add the 1 1/2 cups of finely grated Parmesan cheese, mixing until a thick, creamy sauce forms. Season with 1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg, then remove from heat.
  • Slice the cooked sausage into small 1/4-inch rounds. Add them back to the skillet with the cooked cabbage. Pour the Alfredo sauce over the cabbage and sausage, tossing everything together until evenly coated.
  • Plate the dish and serve warm directly from the skillet. Garnish with minced parsley if desired for a touch of freshness.
