  • 12 oz 340g smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 lb 450g large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper sliced
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp 5ml paprika
  • 1 tsp 5ml dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp 3g salt
  • 1/2 tsp 2.5ml black pepper
  • 2 tbsp 30ml olive oil
  • Fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
  • Add the sliced smoked sausage and cook until lightly browned, about 3-4 minutes. (Tip: Ensure the sausage is heated through for maximum flavor.)
  • Add the sliced bell peppers, onion, and minced garlic. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5-6 minutes. (Tip: Stir occasionally to prevent sticking!)
  • Season with paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine and let the spices infuse the dish.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. (Tip: Avoid overcooking the shrimp to keep them tender!)
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
  • Serve the smoked sausage and shrimp skillet hot over rice, pasta, or with crusty bread for a complete meal.

Notes

Feel free to add other vegetables like zucchini or mushrooms for extra flavor. For a spicy kick, sprinkle some red pepper flakes before serving.
