  • 1 lb beef steak
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped
  • 4 slices bread
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Season the beef steak with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, and chives until well combined.
  • Spread the herb butter mixture on one side of each slice of bread.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Cook the steak in the skillet for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust to your preferred doneness.
  • Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  • In the same skillet, toast the bread slices butter-side down until golden brown.
  • Assemble the sandwich by placing the sliced steak between the bread slices.
  • Slice the sandwich in half and serve warm.

Notes

For added flavor, you can add caramelized onions or your favorite cheese to the sandwich.
