Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted (1 stick)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 15.25 oz strawberry cake mix
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.75 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp strawberry preserves or jelly
  • 1 tbsp milk

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8 or 9x9 inch glass pan with parchment paper and set it aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Add the strawberry cake mix and salt to the egg mixture. Stir with a spatula until the mixture is thick and fully combined. If you want to add chocolate chips for an extra twist, now is the time!
  • Transfer the brownie batter to the prepared pan, using a spatula to evenly press the mixture into the corners.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is puffy. Keep an eye on them as baking times can vary depending on your oven.
  • Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before adding the glaze. Patience is key here!
  • For the glaze, mix the powdered sugar, strawberry preserves, and milk in a small bowl until smooth and well combined. This glaze adds a beautiful shine and extra sweetness to your brownies.
  • Once the brownies are cool, spread the glaze evenly over the top. For cleaner cuts, let the glaze set for a few hours before slicing. Trust me, it’s worth the wait!

Notes

For a fun twist, try adding chocolate chips to the brownie batter for extra flavor. You can substitute the strawberry preserves with raspberry or blueberry for a different fruity glaze.
