  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 0.33 cup thinly sliced green onions
  • 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha (optional) For spice
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 1 pound shredded Brussels sprouts
  • 0.5 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 0.5 lime juiced
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it into crumbles. Add green onions, garlic powder, salt, pepper, sriracha, and soy sauce. Cook until the beef is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside.
  • In the same skillet, heat avocado oil over medium heat. Sauté the shredded Brussels sprouts for about 5-7 minutes until they are soft and slightly caramelized. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Add sweet chili sauce and lime juice. Mix well until the beef and Brussels sprouts are fully coated in the sauce, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds if desired.
  • Serve over rice or with your favorite sides for a complete meal.

Notes

For a spicier kick, increase the amount of sriracha. You can also add crushed red pepper flakes for extra heat. No alcoholic drinks allowed, please substitute with a non-alcoholic option.
